If you have read my blog for any length of time, then you know I love sharing and helping people to go on their own healthy journey.
Something else is that I also love to sew. I decided I need to combine the two in some way. I’ve made for my family and a few friends custom rice socks that can be heated in the microwave or put in the freezer to help with ache and pains. They are simple but so wonderful. Last night I pulled out some different fabrics I have and made these 4 different size packs.
This square one has ties on it so you can put it on a knee, elbow or other body part and tie it on so it stays where you need it too. It’s 8.5 inch by 8.5 inches. $20
These two are a medium and small size rectangles. The blue and brown patterned Medium sized pack is 6 inches by 14 inches. Fantastic for putting across your shoulders or low back. $20
The small one is 9.5 inches by 5 inches. It’s perfect for your face or small areas. $15
Big Rice Pack is 8.5 inches by 14 inches with two channels of rice to keep it in place. Great for backs, shoulders or other larger areas. $25
My plan is to make them in fun different cotton fabrics to brighten up your day and help you to keep being active.
I created an etsy.com shop so that I have a great place for people to buy them and it’s easy for me.
Here is my shop location: ThisMomsGottaRun
As I make more hot/cold packs or other items I will add them to my shop on Etsy and on my Facebook page so you can easily find them. I am already thinking about other items I can make to add to my shop so look for more things. It’s fun getting the creative juices flowing.
If there is something you want – then ask!!!! If there isn’t a fabric that really speaks to you then ask me and I can show you some other things I have. Very few will be the same and when I run out of that fabric I will move on to fun new ones.
And to just show you ideas, here is a big pack I made for my husband several years ago. He has back problems and he can heat this up and put it all across his shoulders and back giving him the relief that he needs. If that is something you need, then we can talk. These are more time consuming but so wonderful.
Just wanted to show different ideas and that I can do a number of things, not just a little rectangle. Thanks for looking and keep checking back for more stuff as I put them together.
