I have a quick minute so here you go. With tonight being New Years Eve and all, you will see a ton of people talking about their New Years Resolutions. Just so you know, I don’t make them. I hate resolutions, I think you are setting yourself up for failure. I think of them as some lofty pipe dream that by about the 2nd week in January you have given up on them. Now if that’s what keeps you motivated then, by all means go for it.
So since I don’t believe in them, what motivates me? GOALS!!!!! Things that are attainable, a little scary and good for you. Yes I want to loose weight, be skinnier, be healthier, etc. but those are two generic and easy to screw up. So instead here are my 2014 goals so far:
1: Want to run a 5k in under 30 min
2: Want to run a 10k without stopping
3: Complete the Diva Half Marathon that is in September in Peachtree City (yes you read that right)
4: continue on my swim, bike, run adventures
5: buckle down and follow Trim Healthy Mama and see what happens (in a good way) to my body. yes there is a number on the scale I want to see but the number does not own me.
